Just to let everyone know that there is a new blog ...

That means there will likely be not much more activity here.

I have decided to put a number of my photos on webshots for your viewing pleasure.

Using webshots saves me disk space and bandwidth. Enjoy! 

We're now far enough into the development of a new website for the Kemerinks' business, that we can tell the world about it.

A Taste of Dutch is a mailorder company of Dutch products. Eventually the owner wants on-line shopping, but we had to start by showing people what is available. Have a look at www.atasteofdutch.com.

Our member accounts have now been merged with those of the Lily Gallery. That means if you register on one site, you have access to all of our sites (except recipes, that's a bit trickier).

Considering the health issues I've been dealing with the last couple of years, and most recently my heart, I have resolved to reduce stress where I can.
For example, I had taken on the role of webmaster for our lily society about four months ago. If there had been a proper project plan, that would be ok, but there was not and I ended up redoing a lot of work. Granted we are all volunteers, but we are also supposed to be professionals. I no longer want to expose myself to this kind of stress. Nothing personal, but I have to make some life choices...
I still love to volunteer, but I will need more structure when I take on projects.
When I go back to work in a non-management role, I expect less stress too. I'd rather take a demotion than kill myself.
Speaking of going back to work, I think I mentioned before that my GP is not allowing me to go back to work until more tests are done.

I have moved the blog from BLOGSPOT. Still working to complete everything.

My sister in Holland kicks her 30-year smoking habit. I guess the wake-up call was not just for me... My nephew had quit a few weeks earlier too, so the news is twice as good.
